Agnes Bernelle: Mother The Wardrobe Is Full Of Infantrymen

"Madre, el ropero está lleno de soldados" es un excelente album de esta cantante fallecida en 1999, grabado con la ayuda de Elvis Costello. Agnes nació en Alemania en 1923, y su padre tenía un cabaret en Berlin, así que ella sabía muy bien cómo interpretar canciones como la de este disco, que incluye composiciones de Tom Waits y Roger McGough. Grabado en 1988 en Londres.

Great album by this singer who died in 1999, recorded with the help of Elvis Costello. Agnes was born in Germany, in 1923, and her father ran a cabaret in Berlin, so she knew very well about to sing this kind of songs; the album includes songs by Tom Waits and Roger McGough. Recorded in London, in 1988.

Steve Von Till: A grave is a grim horse (2008)

Steve Von Till, cantante y guitarrista de Neurosis, realizó anteriormente dos albumes: As the Crow Flies (2000) and If I Should Fall to the Field (2002). Seis años después, regresa con este nuevo disco donde toca guitarras eléctricas, acústicas, otras cuerdas, pedal steel, banjo y, en un par de temas, órgano Hammond B-3 y piano Rhodes. Quizás uno de los mejores discos Folk del 2008.

Steve Von Till, vocalist and guitarist of Neurosis, issued two previous solo albums: 2000's As the Crow Flies and 2002's If I Should Fall to the Field. Six years later, he returns with this new record in which he plays electric and acoustic guitars, strings, pedal steel, banjo and, on a couple of tunes, Hammond B-3 and Rhodes piano. Maybe one of the best folk release of 2008.
